Celebrations at Tewkes Creek Yacht Club

New Jetty built in the mud

It was celebrations all round when the new jetty was finished at the Tewkes Creek Yacht Club. (The Yacht club jetty is now used by the Sea Scouts.) These photos probably taken in the late 60s were loaned to us by the Chairman of the Heritage Centre. More photos to follow.

  • The man standing at the forefront of the picture is my Dad, Horace john Lettice. Better known as Jim! He and his brother Bill were hands - on, on this construction. My Dad was responsible for the old telegraph poles that were used.
