Could it be the Canoe club Carnival float 1950

I have tried to work out what this is as my friend Derek Kennard leant it to me and when I commented he said, ” Don’t ask.”

On the back he has written Audrey Butcher and Fred Hall.

It looks a lot like the the Canoe club Carnival 1950’s float picture that Mr Ian Hawks has posted. If you look closely the lady sitting down in that picture has her hand on what looks like the Flag pole and she has a  White bikini top on.

The gentleman at the front (behind the person in the pith helmet) is the back view of the man standing in Dereks photo, could I be right ?

I hope Mr Hawks does not mind me using his photo for comparison.
