These pictures of the Oil Refinery demonstration in 1973 were part of Lin’s parents photo collection. On the back was written “Demonstration against oil refinery 9/4/1973”. It is not known who the people are in the photos. Can anyone tells us please.
Some 482 police officers were on duty at another demonstration against the refinery in London on the 19th May 1973

I think I remember seeing a photograph of DR feelgood, one of Canvey’s successful groups, leading a ‘No more oil on Canvey Soil’ protest. Does anyone else remember that? They were walking down Haven Road towards the Lobster Smack and what was the oil storage facility at the time!
