Top photo . This is where the old Green double decker 3A stopped that took us to Benfleet railway station on the corner of Oxford Rd. We moved our caravan to Kings in 1965 as I used to stare in the window several times a year on Sundays waiting for the bus. The corner shop had creamy yellow paintwork but was in slightly better condition , but it’s not much later ! I’d would say 1967-8 .
