Leigh Road at the junction with Ferndale Crescent

The Tremain family home

The house in the foreground was the Tremains family home in the early 1940’s before it was altered to look as it is today.

Leigh Road at the time was just a narrow strip with wide grass verges and not a through road as it is now.

The house on the far right is still there but the two in the middle have been replaced with four new detached properties.
