St Katherine's Churchyard

Find a grave

For two years I have been photographing headstones in St Katherine’s Churchyard, transcribing the burial records and Monumental Inscriptions. I have now uploaded everything I have so far transcribed to the ‘Find a grave’ website. You can find ‘St Katherine’s Churchyard’ here where you can search by surname.

There are over 2000 graves registered mostly some with the bare facts, over 700 now have grave photos along with as much detail as I have been able to find. I will be continuing updating the information as fast as I can. I still have hundreds of photos to transcribe and thousands of burial records. If anyone wants to add their own information or make a correction, please contact me on janp@blueyonder.co.uk .

  • Many thanks for the amazing amount of dedicated hard work. I immediately found that both my Harvey grandparents were buried there when I had thought it was only one of them.

  • I have now added the picture of your grandparents grave. The text is not very clear I am afraid and I do not have much additional info. If you can add anything just let me know
