The Archive had a great day on Saturday with our stall at the Dutch Cottage celebrations. We were joined by Nellie and Janet, our friends from the Dutch Flood Museum in Ouwerkerk. They had brought over some free leaflets and some books to add to our stall.
Our stall was very busy all day. It was a focal point for the Dutch who were visiting the site. It was great to hear so much Dutch being spoken at the Dutch Cottage after perhaps 400 years. I did not understand a word!!

As well as our stall at the cottage we had our Dutch-Canvey History display at the Heritage Centre which was open as part of the weekend with buses going from Museum to Museum. This too proved to be very popular and will be on display again at our next meeting on the 26th September, when we will be travelling back in time to the 17th century.
