  • Walked along that stretch of sea wall many times. Was in the St George’s Ambulance Brigade,we used to patrol all along the sea wall there. We had a hut at the back of the casino in the car park

  • The top picture shows the stretch of the sea-wall where our little gang would resume swimming and diving during W.W.11. It was good to be able to get some extra fun in, when the tide was receding in “Dead Mans Bay”………also known as Thorney Bay.   All of the happenings came flooding back, especially the ones covered on my “memories page” in this great archive project.
