This picture, probably taken in the 1920s, is where the Labworth Cafe would be built in the 1930s. Furtherwick Road would be to your right leading to Furtherwick Farm. In the centre in the far distance you can see Scar House and to the left of it (looks like it is sticking out of the lady’s head) you can see the ‘The Old Lady of Canvey’.
