  • My dad Johnny Hull. I was always told (by numerous people) that he was Canveys highest ever goalscorer and scored around 300 goals. Alas there doesn’t seem to be a record and no one around now who remembers those days.

  • Neil Hull. Quite often, local football scores are recorded in local newspapers.

Southend Library does have microfiche of some local newspapers so you could look through them and create a database of Canvey Football club score results. Maybe publish them on here for others also

  • Our dad Reg Holland. The club took over our lives at weekends. Washing the kit, packing it up, typing the programme and running it off. Not to mention tombola on friday evenings. They were the days.
