  • This was taken in Mitchells Avenue near the top of the High Street, they are workshops in the background, this was the only access by foot to the sea wall at Small Gains Creek, all the survivors from Newlands where brought to the High Street by this route.

  • Definatley Mitchell’s Ave. Salvation Army building in the background. These workshops were at the back of Green glades owned by arm Liddiard (no relation to me). He is the man who got to safety via two chairs. There is a picture of this.
