Canvey Island Parade 1978 video

This film was uploaded to Youtube by bigbusterfromglynn. He states:-

“I filmed this (on Super 8) in Canvey Island during the Summer of 1978!
It’s never been shown outside my local area before. All those Beauty Queens would now be around 50 years old, and most of the youngsters would be around 40 years old!
I’d like to hear from anyone who recognises themselves.
Loopy Love was playing on the radio that day, and I thought it fitted the marching.
The film was rescued from a Friends old run down house, where it suffered “water damage” (according to the old Guy who put? the film on to video tape)”
