From archaeology to clean-up

27th March

My last trip along the seawall from Thorney Bay to the point before the closed signs went up at Thorney Bay.

Workmen were at Thorney Bay so I asked what they were doing. If you don’t ask you don’t find out. The chap said looking for anomalies in the revetment to find out what parts needed more work doing on them.

Further along the coast I found more workmen out on the sand. I asked one chap were they digging for gold? Sort of I was told they were archaeologists checking out the seashore for buried treasure, you know the odd Roman pot etc. I had a long talk with him.

Then on to the point where more work getting the compound there up and running and more workmen taking part in a litter-pick. Wonder what my next visit will show?
