Painting by Peter Paul Hubner and dated 1920. On the back it states it is a painting of a ‘three hundred year old shepherd’s hut on this sunken marshland’ of Canvey Island.
Thatched Cottage, Sunken Marsh was located in modern day Wilmslowe road about number 3. In the 1921 Census Thomas PLUMBE was staying there and he was a retired silk trader.

I thought about that one but could not find it on the archive. I was sure I had seen it somewhere. Perhaps on a map.
