8 - Royalty

The Late Queen Elizabeth II never visited Canvey Island but islanders have celebrated her reign many times during the 70 years she was our Queen. Some Canvey Islanders met the Queen for a variety of reasons. These events are recorded here.

King Charles III has been to Canvey Island during the time he was Prince of Wales.

Other members of the Royal Family have ventured onto the Island. The latest being Princess Anne the Princess Royal who has been to our island twice.
