The Essex County Fire and Rescue Service have kindly given us permission to publish these pictures from the fire this week at the Corner Club. A great deal of damage was done to buildings and businesses but thankfully no-one was killed or injured.

Speaking as a sister of one of the owners of the Corner Club, it was my brothers lifetime ambition to own a club or public house. He and his business partner opened the club in June 2010. My brother being a greengrocer third generation knew nothing about running a club but amazed us all by being the best publican ever and made everyone who went in feel welcome. Please god he will be up and running again shortly.
As a recent member of the corner club, I hope that they will open up again as I can confirm the atmosphere and effort that was put into the club to make it a success, is to be highly praised. I wish them luck.
