Canvey History Trail 2015

Details are emerging regarding our History Trail in September. The event will run from 10-4pm.

We have six venues that will be open on that day. Vintage buses will be travelling from venue to venue at half hourly intervals free of charge.

We will be giving out History Trail maps before the event containing lots of local history.

The Paddocks no2 Hall
Canvey Community Archive will be hosting an event in the Paddocks. So far we have Cast and Crew, the Carnival, Deep Sea Fishermen, Coastwatch, Dutch Flood Museum, Beyond The Point, Robert Hallmann local author and historian. Plus more, we are waiting confirmation.

The Bus Museum
Will be open and running vintage buses for us.

The Heritage Centre
The Museum will be open and they will also have a Needle work display.

The Dutch Cottage Museum
The Dutch Cottage will be celebrating the Benfleet Historical Society’s 60th Anniversary.

The Bay Museum
Will be open and they will be joined by Sears (South Essex Amateur Radio) and also Bay Watch.

The Concord Beach and Murals.
Will be having an event at the beach.
