On the back of the photo it says John Beeson, Canvey accountant with oil firm. Dated 1978.
On the left of the photo is the Haystack as it used to be and on the right is the old Wimpy. The background is not in focus but you can just make out Matthews and Charles on the wall next to the Wimpy.
