Castle Point council are catering for all tastes with their run of entertainments at Canvey’s Paddocks community centre. Hot on the heels of ballet stars and top-class wrestling comes another attraction – pantomime. Tonight sees the opening of the panto Cinderella at the hall in Long Road. The council decided to put  the show with the help of a Canvey dance group.  Mr Brian Fenning, halls manager for Castle Point said:” It is the first one the council have put on. We hope it will be very successful. We have enough talent in the district to support ourselves. Everyone is working very hard trying to get it off the ground.” Canvey dance group the Georgettes have been rehearsing for the show. Seats will cost 40p and 20p for children. Lynne Harmes as Prince Charming is pictured putting the the glass slipper on Cinderella – Fiona Randall- watched by Buttons – Karen Barlow- and Ugly Sisiters Jackie Lincold and Karen Scarf.
