Great set of photos taken at Lakeside Corner during the floods with a view down Waarden Road. M. Fletcher’s and E.G.Shillum and son the name of the shops. Now the carpet shop and is next door a furniture shop or is it a takeaway now? Anyone know who the men were?

I have looked and looked and am almost sure that the Fireman with the cap on is Arthur Edwards The one with the helmet on looks as if it could be my Dad (Ken Macquarie) it is just a gut feeling I wont swear to it but I do know that he and Arthur were together a lot whilst rescuing people. Somone please correct me if I am wrong………
