Anyone remember David Larking?

I lived on the Island from 1945 until 1977, and have a lot of memories to share, I attended Leigh Beck Primary school from sept 1948 until 1954,  My father had a taxi service we resided on Foksville Rd. which is no longer there, its was next to Furtherwick Park school the clinic was on the corner. Just opposite was the Premier Club,  I have quiet a few pictures of old Canvey. Hopefully somebody may remember me I now live in Southern California although I two sons still living on Canvey my Grandparents are buried at St Katherines Church which is now the Heritage Centre.  I did work for the boat builders Prouts for a short time in the 1960s. • Hi David I certainly do remember you and your dad Frank. He and my dad were pals when we all used to go to Chapman sands sailing club. They both had power boats [your dads -a Broom Viking] and I remember on occasion when we all went over to Kent including you and your fiance and caught and cooked shrimps in Yantlett creek. Your dads cabs were Ford V8 Pilots–a gallon every third lamp post. Did you marry John Tremains sister? Hope you are doing well . Regards Sparrow
