Emergency Hospital Field

Maureen says:-

“The photo below is of my grandfather, Jack Banaghen, standing in the field which became Furtherwick Park School but was originally the site for Canvey Hospital. You can see the sign on the right in the field but I can’t magnify it enough to read it. As he died as a result of the Floods in 1953 aged 82, I’m sure this was taken well before then.”
