A Camouflaged Casino

  • The Casino was camouflaged at the very beginning of the war.  It was too visible over the seawall and could be used as a landmark, at that time there were only fields behind it so the camouflage helped it blend in,  It was painted by my dad whilst he was on leave from National Service.  He was helped by a friend.  I understand The Casino was closed for the duration but The Monico stayed open and put on events to help the war effort.
