Two things not written on the back of this photo are where and when. Any guesses?

Opposite The Conservative Club on Long Road, I think it was the second house from Convent Road circa late 60’s early 70’s. Mr Staunton was an optician on Furtherwick Road..

I think Doctor Mackincheck lived in that house. He had a practice with Doctor Lyntner and Doctor Macarthy. Who had a surgery in Grafton Road off Furtherwick.

This is 58 Long Road and yes was owned my dad from 1959 to 1973. He was the optician on Canvey in Furtherwick road and my grandfather namesake was also an optician on the Island and has a house there from before the war. The doctors house was to the left. House had been heavily changed now, this must be a estate agent picture I guess. Probably got thousands of pictures of canvey and Cinie film, must go through it…
