Some great pictures of the Coastguard Cottages some taken before the storage tanks appeared, some when the old caravans were on the land in front of the cottages. The cottages were built about 1893.
An old postcard
No sign of any tanks here. Balconies have been added. Date unknown
Rear view of the cottages with Sluice Farm buildings on the left. Date unknown
Rear view of the cottages. Looks like the seawall is post 1953 and the tanks are there
A more familiar scene with the caravans on the land in front of the cottages and the storage tanks behind
Again with the caravans. Today there are houses and modern static caravans
