this is great. Ive been searching for years to find pictures of Canvey High St from the late 60s to the mid 70s to clear up many images I have in my memories from that time during my early childhood.
I was trying to remember the name of the hairdressers that was between Baxters and Woolworths where I used to sit for ages waiting for my mum to get her hair done.
Also, the acquarium shop that was on the little road (that no longer exists) in between Peaches and the other butchers/arcade – that is now part of Knightswick and the health clinics
