The Ferry

Two Photos c1920s

Two great photos (Top and bottom)of the ferry that used to run from the mainland to Canvey before the bridge was built in 1931. TakenĀ in the late teens or early 20s I would think by the clothes the ladies are wearing.

The middle picture is an enlargement taken from the first picture. In this view you can clearly see the queue waiting on the other side and also the advert for Coxs.
