• The lady in the back row left, tall with long dark hair is Ivy, Michael and David Cains Mum. The man back row right next to the lady holding the baby in front of the Punch and Judy kiosk is I think, Chic Morris. He lived at the bottom of Mitchells Ave. near the seawall. His bungalow is still there called Rosalie, his youngest daughter Marion still lives there. Billy Blissetts mum is slightly to the left of Ivy.

• The lad blond hair behind front row looks like Micky Cain, maybe two along the row is Dave Cain, 5th in that row is Michael Hawes who sadly passed last year alongside Dave cain

• I think Micky Cain, far left, near the front. I remember Chick Morris living in Mitchell’s Ave. Can anyone remember the name of the family in 1959 that lived in No.5 Gains Close ? They are probably in this photo. (House directly facing the entrance road). We bought a new born puppy from them, I was aged 6. It was a black toy poodle, and it lived for 17 years, it was a bargain. Lol.

• Hi Sheridan,
  Bit of late comment. Although I have seen this page before I didn’t notice your mother-in-law up in the l/hand corner. In the late 40s/early 50s Maisie was my surrogate ‘ mum’ when my Mum, Kay was busy with bakery business and giving birth to my younger siblings! Maisie’s real job was working with my Dad, Aubrey, on packing and despatch in the Bakery. I think at some stage nearly all the Talbot family worked for the Bakery business in some form or another; Butch, Pip , Smiler, Hefty, Maisie’s husband Tom and even Butch’s German brother- in law Blondie and Mrs T was housekeeper for Gpa Stevens.
