I believe that in the 50’s there was a Johnstone – Builder lived in a rather attractively designed detached brick bungalow in the High Street, opposite Maurice Road, a little nearer Smallgains Corner. I have a vague memory of a brick arched front entrance. I do not recognise anybody in the photograph. Thank you for another memory of my youth !

Sweyne was built in 1936 by William vale johnstone which he lived in till he built the house behind and moved in there called Milestone some time in the 1940s.
