  • Would that be Bill and Nora(?) Bishop who ran the vegetable store opposite Chamberlain Avenue?

  • Hello Annette, yes it is Bill and Nora Bishop out shopping after they retired from their shop.

  • Thanks Rod, I always remember Bill Bishop used to give me and my sister a grape each whenever my nan went to buy fruit and veg there – we lived across the road in Chamberlain Avenue and I think they knew my nan who shopped there quite often. (I must have been about four or five). When I saw that picture, I remembered them straightaway!
