Pictures of the Canvey Police Raft ‘Soggy Panda’ which was entered into the Southend Raft Race over a number of years. The first 2 are practice in Tewkes Creek 1980 the last one is at Southend Sea front prior to the race in 1981.. You might recognise a number of the crew….I am certainly there.

Come on Tony & Graham, when was Small Gains Creek renamed “TEWKES CREEK”. It would be great to have a charity boat race like this across Thorney Bay some time, if Health & Safety would allow it!
