The Ferry Crossing viewed from Canvey Island
Post Cards of the Benfleet Creek Crossing
Here we are looking from Canvey Island waiting for the Ferry Boat to take us back to the main land (South Benfleet). If the tide was out you could walk accross the stepping stones, three of which are located down Long Road at the former Council Offices.

My mother then Joyce Finch used to go over to Canvey Island on these stepping stones, before they had a ferry boat which I believe one of her friends used to work on.
