Post Cards from Canvey

Mrs Sheila Jelly sent in these Post Cards that were posted by her Mother in Law Beatie Addington (1911-1965) who was 15 years old at the time. They were sent to her Grandparents in Leigh-on-Sea and Finsbury Park in London.

The first is Shell Beach but I don’t recognise any buildings. Could it be Seaview Road with Marlbourough House in the background?

The second is the working ladies home of rest that was on the north bank of the lake.
