This looks like a later photo of Concord House. It has been enlarged quite a bit and the Pavilion Restaurant/café has now been built on the land next door. (see enlargement) You can just make out the Riverside Café in the distance. Apparently the person who wrote the postcard was staying in Leigh and was on a visit to Canvey but “did not think much of the island”.
