My Gt Uncle Sidney Brignull from Canvey Island, served with the 1st Essex Regiment, no 9528. He was killed in action on the 14 April 1917, aged 28, in France, He is listed on the memorial plaque at the paddocks.
I have recently found a photo of him, and other documents which I will publish here.
