70th Flood exhibition funding.

During the summer at one of the Archive’s committee meetings, we discussed the plans for our exhibition relating to the 70th anniversary commemoration of the great Flood. Our associate committee member Mike Machin suggested we apply to the Rotary Club of Canvey for funding. This was done and I’m pleased to say we were recently given a generous donation. The money will be used to cover the cost of St Nicholas Church Hall where the exhibition will be staged next February 25th, as well as promotional material such as flyers etc. There should also be enough to cover making copies of the Flood dvd and updating/replenishing some of the items we will sell or hand out on the day.

Their generosity means that the event will be free entry for visitors.
