Cubs on cue for auction

Going, going, gone!

You can’t bid for a cub, but lots include a snooker cue and year’s membership of Kings Snooker Club, Canvey, a kissogram from Smoochers of Canvey and four tickets to the pan­tomime at the Cliffs Pavilion, Westcliff.

Mr Tribley said: “Parents are also donating their time for babysitting and that sort of thing. One parent offered to have children for a Satur­day while their parents go Christmas shopping. We have been trying to do some original things.”

It is being organised by the 3rd Canvey scouts and guides parents’ committee on October 21 at Our Lady of Canvey Catholic church hall, Long Road, Canvey, starting at 7.30.
