Prouts in the 1980s
At the Archive session at CISCA house today, Jeffrey Nevett very kindly lent us photos to be added to the website. He worked for Prouts for 26 years until they ceased trading in 2002. These photos feature the Sirocco type sailing boats, also the first powerboat ‘Champagne Mumm’ they manufactured as well as the Quasar, a very futuristic looking vessel from around 1984/5.
The first of the new 45 foot powerboats was owned by Rodney Hall. Only approximately 5 or 6 were produced.
‘Quasar’, a very futuristic looking vessel from around 1984/85.The 50 foot Quasar catamaran was sent to America.
