Nellie Verton met Princess Anne

In 2013 the archive’s friend from the Dutch Flood Museum accompanied us to the 60th anniversary of the floods at Chelmsford Cathedral. She participated in the service on behalf of the Dutch Flood Museum.

Following the service several people were introduced to Princess Anne and Nellie was one of them. She presented her with a book and other items on behalf of the museum. She was also interviewed by the BBC.
