150th Anniversary of the R.N.L.I. in March 1974.

A service of thanksgiving was held in St Nicholas Church to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Royal Nation Lifeboat Institution. It’s thought that Rev. Fleetwood conducted the ceremony. In the congregation is Sir Bernard Braine our former and long-standing local MP. The photo is also an interesting shot of the original east window of the church.
