School Exchange Trip

In 1957 a “School Exchange Trip” was organised for pupils of Furtherwick Park School to stay with the families of pupils at the Northicote School in Wolverhampton. During the week pupils were taken to visit places of interest. I remember the Cadbury’s Chocolate Factory and Courtaulds to see the making of fabric and artificial textiles. Amongst other places the boys visited a coal mine.

The picture attached shows the coach driver, Miss Cox the P.E. teacher, Mr. Potter – Science teacher and Mr. Elkington – Art teacher. Mr. Potter was my Form Teacher.
