Bumble Bee Park, Labworth
Planted by Lubbins Park Primary School

Bumble Bee Park
In April this year the children from Lubbins Park Primary School planted the new Bumblebee Park at Labworth Park at Canvey’s Seafront. The aim is to attract carder bees to the area.
There are only four habitats in the UK where this rare insect still lives and Canvey is one of them.
Canvey children also designed the mosaics which are a feature of the display.
I went to see the area for myself and below are some of my pictures.
It will be interesting to see how the area changes as the plants grow. Hopefully it will be kept neat and tidy and be a feature of the seafront for many years to come.
