Ted’s Cabin was owned by Ted Andrews. The group of shops at the front are from left to right Pavilion Fruit Stores, Madam Verona Scientific Palmist (yes that is what it says on the white building), Snapshots, Tea Bar at Uncle Ted’s Cabin. In these pictures Andrew’s Amusements can be seen round the corner and the Pavilion can be seen on the otherside of the road. Does anyone remember?
Ted Andrews was the owner of Andrew’s Amusements which was situated at the bottom of May Avenue where the flats are now. The Pavilion was on the opposite corner where the Windjammer is today.

I lived in May Avenue as a child for 16 years, from 1944 until 1960, and passed the Cabin every time we went to the seafront. The road was actually tarmacked by then. Lovely chips from the Cabin!
