This postcard of Furtherwick Park Guest house was sent to us by Lyn Trevis who found it in her father’s possessions. Her father was Albert Connelly and it was her grandmother Lillian Harris who is in another photo dated 1971 when the house was Abbeyfield.
Below is a map showing the location of the building off Sweet Briar Walk (now Venables Close) next to Canvey Supply Builders. Abbeyfield moved to their place off Long Road in 1991.
