I lived down Hope Road, watching the film brought back good memorys, I now live in suffolk, but good luck with the restart of the carnival
I just watched this film again , and i saw there was a Halcon lorry as one of the floats , i worked at Halcons when i left school . If anyone remembers me please contact me ,it would be nice to hear, at the above email .
Fantastic, I so remember them long hot summers, life growing up on Canvey was THE BEST !!!
I recognised several people on the floats and one of the two horse riders was Jacky Barns (nee Healy) I think the other one was Sarah Lawrence. I put a few still photos of this on the Carnival page last year.
Just watched this video and saw my dad bill fullbrook driving the blue lorry for scotts and son magic

1.30 red robin majorettes, absolutely loved doing the carnivals and canvey was always one of my favourites. many happy memories, thanks for sharing
Hi i was Canvey Island jubilee queen 1976/1977 now living in halifax West Yorkshire I opened the circus which was held near Ray Howard’s I was asked to ride the poor baby elephant who was having none of it bless it threw me off
