During the war Rev Reginald Chute served with the 130th (Field) Ambulance from 18 October 1918 until 26 January 1919. This was a period when a number of reinforcements joined the unit.
We were recently contacted to ask if the 130th (St John) Field Ambulance Research Group could use the photo we have of Rev Chute for their website. I was able to contact Rev Chute’s daughter Hilary whom I met in 2013 when she visited the island. She was then already in her 80s so we were pleasantly surprised to hear she was fit and well. She said she was pleased her father’s photo and story was still of interest.
