Austrian trip is music to the ears.

Canvey will be alive with The Sound of Music when the New Swan Theatre puts on the musical at The Paddocks. and members of the audience get the chance to view Austria, the country where it is set, thanks to special draw. The production, which was the responsible for making Julie Andrews famous when it was filmed is to be staged on Friday, July 10 and Saturday July 11. There will be an 8pm performance om Friday and 2pm and 8pm shows on Saturday. Proceeds from the Saturday matinee got to the National Society for the \prevention of Cruelty to children. The holder of one lucky programme will win a holiday in Austria for two. Tickets are £2 for adults and £1 for children and pensioners.
