Repairs to the seawall Tewkes Creek 1953

These pictures were taken in 1953 soon after the floods when there was a fight against time to get Canvey’s seawall rebuilt and stenghthened before the high tides of the Autumn.

These pictures are taken in the Tewkes Creek area where according to the notations on the back of the photos Piling was being done.
