The Gunny has been subject to development into a community asset for many years. The Big Local have been working hard to bring the project to fruition and have now teamed up with TrustLinks.

I was first aware of the project when Barry and Dot Palmer contacted me in 2012 at the archive to join them on site at a meeting with Heritage England. Long years and many problems later the pandemic hits. Then like everything else post pandemic their costs have gone through the roof.

Goody bag given out to all who attended.

The event last Friday was to make individuals and businesses aware of the project and give them the opportunity to be part of it by donating funds or sponsoring a tree or bench or perhaps a pergola or piece of equipment.

To find out more and download these leaflets go to Trustlinks site.

Or to donate direct go to their Crowdfunding page.
