Can anyone help

Hi. My dad was born on Canvey Island in 1920. I remember vaguely as a child, my dad taking us to his late father’s bungalow on Lentzen Road, after he passed away. My dad had 7 brothers and sisters. His name was Lambert. I was wondering if you have any Info please.

  • According to 1939 “Census”, The following people were residing at “Letzen Cot” down Letzen Road
    1. LAMBERT William – Born 21 Aug 1873 – Customs Watcher (retired)
    2. LAMBERT Mabel A. – Born 14th March 1889
    3. LAMBERT Edward A. – Born 9th July 1919 – General Labourer
    4. LAMBERT Gwendoline H. Born 30 Sep 1922 (married GOWEN)
    5. ELLIOT Margaret A. – Born 21 March 1918
    6. ELLIOT Ronald – Born 19th March 1938
    7. REDACTED IN RECORD.

Assume you are interested in Edward A. LAMBERT. Looks like his birth registered in Westham district if his Mother’s maiden name is TURNER.

If I am not mistaken, Letzen Cottage was actually built in 1935 by Tudor Homes Co, and later number No 13. It was a wooden Bungalow (as opposed to brick)
